Title - A Cornish Ferry.
Location - Bodinnick, Fowey, Cornwall, England.
Artist - Albert J Martin.
Description - There is still a popular car ferry service across the River Fowey at the village of Bodinnick, just across the river from Fowey in southern Cornwall. In the painting we are looking down Hall Terrace and across the river towards riverside buildings in Fowey. On the right is "Ye Old Ferry House". This view has changed very little since the 1930s, except the pub has been renamed Ye Old Ferry Inn and has lost its tall chimneys. Just out of sight to the left at the riverside is "Ferryside", a house where Daphne du Maurier wrote many novels.
