Artist - Jack Merriott (1901-1968).
Description - A typical English village with pond, church and old house. But also in view is the more unusual sight of the stock and whipping post, which have been preserved in-situ. Apart from cars, the view now is not hugely different from the peaceful idyll depicted on this post-war poster.
Year Published - 1949
Size - Double Royal (approx 40 x 25in or 101.5 x 63.5cm)
Other Details:
Original Vintage British Railways Travel Poster.
Published by The Railway Executive (London Midland Region) LM 1949

Condition Grade and Condition Report:
Grade: B+, un-conserved.
No folds, lots of small edge tears/nicks, some with tape repairs on rear and a few with small losses of paper, some minor age discolouration of the white borders. Would frame up very well. More detailed photos are available on request if required.
