Description - A very busy map with a whole host of small vignettes of people, places and facts related to the Fenland counties of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire, and also separating out the ancient area called the Isle of Ely.
This poster is one of a collection saved by a railwayman who worked at Carlisle station from the 1940s to the 1960s. The poster was never used and is in the same condition as originally received at the station for display.

Kenneth Steel was born in Sheffield, and studied at Sheffield College of Art.
He was a painter in oils and watercolour, and a printmaker and engraver. He produced a large number of railway posters and carriage prints for British Railways.
