Repaired tears, small edge losses touched-in, browning of austerity paper, particularly down the left side. Previous owner acquired from renowned poster dealer Leslie Sherlock. More detailed photos are available on request if required.

Frank Sherwin was a marine & landscape painter in oil & watercolour and a poster designer. He was born in Derby in 1896, the son of a painter.
He served in WW2 as a camouflage advisor around East Anglian airfields, and achieved a prolific output of art for the railways with posters for GWR, LMS, LNER & BR.
