Description - Classic Fred Taylor. Over many years he produced a large number of posters for the LNER featuring cathedrals, castles, abbeys and other notable stone buildings. His mastery of architectural art was unsurpased. Here, from across the river we see the huge cathedral, towering over the town buildings. The whole scene is brightened by the autumn colours of the trees lining the river.

He produced posters for a variety of railway companies, London Transport, the Empire Marketing Board and shipping companies.
