Description - An early 1930s view of Epsom Downs racecourse and the countryside surrounding it, from just outside the Southern Railway station at Tattenham Corner. The line had been electrified in 1928, and this poster uses the "Southern Electric" name used to publicise the new clean future the railway was promoting. The wording is also advertising travel for picnics and rambles as well as potential use of the station's refreshment rooms.
