Description - Hatfield House is a Grade 1 listed Jacobean country house built in 1611 by Robert Cecil, chief minister to King James I. The photographs used for the poster show the imposing South Front, and interior views of King James' Drawing Room, and The Armoury. The earlier building on the site, the Royal Palace of Hatfield, had strong links with Queen Elizabeth I, and the estate has many objects associated with her. It is still open to the public.
