Description - A quite beautiful view of the picturesque village of Hemingford Grey, east of the town of Huntingdon. In the centre is St James' Church with its unique truncated spire, and the reflections are in the River Great Ouse. Many of Wesson's posters are characterised by his great ability with colour and reflections.

Edward Wesson was born in London in 1910. He started painting aged 20, and became one of Britain's best 20th century watercolour artists. He was also a busy teacher and writer on art. He exhibited widely in the 50s and 60s, and produced quite a few works for British Railways and the Post Office Savings Bank.
