Description - A lovely simple view of 'Swan', one of the Windermere yachts mentioned in the wording of the poster. Lake Windermere was always a popular holiday or day trip destination.
This is a Stock poster, where the image would have been printed seperately, with the wording added later in letterpress form. This way, a part-pictorial poster image could be used for multiple advertising purposes.
The smaller, Double Crown, size of the poster suggests that it would have been intended for use at a non-Railway location where poster boards/frames tended to use this standard size.
