It is all covered by a parasol advertising Llandudno. In the background are the Orme to the left and the pier to the right, with a yacht sailing past.

Daphne Padden was born in London in 1927. She was the daughter of Percy Padden, himself a fine artist and producer of artwork for travel posters of the 1920-30s.
She worked as a freelance poster artist for many British organisations and companies during the 1950s and 60s, and then became a fine artist from the 1970s, joining the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Engravers, and moving away from the poster advertising world.
