Description - This is one of a series of ceremonial posters painted by Clark, in the 1930s for the LMS, and then re-issued by British Railways. A ceremonial brass band is on parade, for the Changing of The Guard at St James's Palace. The palace was home to a number of past Kings of Great Britain, and is still a Royal residence.
This poster is one of a collection saved by a railwayman who worked at Carlisle station from the 1940s to the 1960s. The poster was never used and is in the same condition as originally received at the station for display.
