Description - A hot and happy sun looking down on a family group, complete with a tennis racquet, beach spade and swimming clothes, and a yacht behind them on the calm sea, suggesting many summer east coast activities. At the left side is a pipe-smoking fisherman pointing his thumb at the advertising section where the LNER were offering great deals on holiday-related train travel. "Meet The Sun..." was the main slogan used by the LNER for the 1939 season.
