Description - A public information poster produced by the Railway Executive on the safety subject of passengers opening doors without looking. It depicts a concerned looking couple on the platform trying to avoid being hit by a door being opened by the hand of an unseen man. Throughout the history of slam-door trains this was a safety concern.

Harry Riley was a hugely talented artist who worked in a wide range of media. He is probably best known for the posters that he did for British Railways, BOAC and Quantas and his work now is highly sought-after. He was a member of The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.
