More About The Artist:
Eric Ennion was an artist, author, illustrator and radio presenter on natural history subject, specialising in birds.
He was born in Kettering in 1900, the son of a doctor. He attended Caius College Cambridge and St Mary's Hospital before working as a GP for 20 years in Burwell, Cambridgeshire.
He was always fascinated by birds, and in 1945 he sold the medical practice and became warden at the Field Studies Council's Flatford Mill Field Centre, and then in 1950 he and his wife founded the Monk's House Bird Observatory at Seahouses, Northumberland.
