Description - Pull's Ferry is an old watergate controlling access into the old city of Norwich, dating back to the 15th century. The ferry house sits next to the gate, and the Cathedral is visible in the background. This was a joint issue between the LNER and LMS, who both had trains serving Norwich, and had minimal spare money for advertising expenditure after the start of the war. There is an example of this poster on display at the Museum of Norwich.

Rowland Hilder was born to British parents in America. He was a landscape and marine painter, illustrator and author. He was President of the Royal Institute for Painters in Watercolour, illustrated many books and designed posters for National Savings and Shell as well as much work for the railway companies.
