Description - A late-summer view looking down from Newlyn, across the bays to Penzance town with the church of St Mary and St Michael's Mount prominent in the middle distance.
This poster was rescued from a closed station building many years ago, and had suffered damage over the years of storage.
Year Published - c1960
Size - Double Royal (approx 40 x 25in or 101.5 x 63.5cm) plus linen border.

Linen backed, repairs to damage and paper replacement to a couple of insect/rot holes within the image, with watercolour restoration to those areas. Some staining still remains as we have not undertaken any major overpainting. More detailed photos are available on request if required.

Jack Merriott was a landscape and portrait painter, who used both oil and watercolour media. He lectured widely, wrote and illustrated related books, and was vice president of the RI. He produced artwork for quite a number of railway posters.
