Condition Grade and Condition Report:
Grade: B+, conservation-backed on linen.
We have had this poster linen-backed.
Repairs to small edge tears and worn folds and restored losses to corners, a few minor brownish spots in the sky area, but not really noticeable.
It is backed onto Linen with a 2cm linen border left on to prevent future damage to the poster-edge and make future framing easier. The poster is now in excellent restored condition and ready for framing. The restorers would recommend Conservation Framing, as old paper has the same requirements as other valuable collectables. The work did NOT involve re-painting or airbrushing, and the work is entirely reversible if ever required, meaning that the poster could be re-backed in the future should any accidents or problems ever occur. Close-up photos available on request, and of condition before-restoration.
