Description - The High Force waterfall on the River Tees is a wonderful sight, and Wesson's artwork shows it to great effect. This is the first version of this poster, before the closure of the railway line to Middleton-in-Teesdale in Nov 1964.

More About The Artist:
Edward Wesson was born in London in 1910. He started painting aged 20, and became one of Britain's best 20th century watercolour artists. He was also a busy teacher and writer on art. He exhibited widely in the 50s and 60s, and produced quite a few works for British Railways and the Post Office Savings Bank.
