About the Artist:
Thomas Osborne Robinson was born in 1905. He was a renowned theatrical set designer, and spent nearly 50 years with Northampton's Royal Theatre and it's art college. The Osborne Robinson Poster Collection at the University of Northampton comprises over 5000 posters on a diverse range of subjects (2000 collected by Robinson himself, suggesting he had a great interest in poster art).
