Title - Wales - A Holiday-Land Full of Undiscovered Charm.
Location - Carreg Cennen Castle, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Artist - Archibald Bertram Webb (1887-1944).
Description - A stylised scene, using the block-colour style of the 1930s. After some investigation we have determined that the view is looking north-eastwards in the Brecon Beacons towards Carreg Cennen Castle. There has been some artistic licence used to increase the height and reduce the amount of tree coverage of the rockface, but there are contemporary photographs which suggest the tree cover was less than than it is now, and there was a white house in a similar position.
