Description - A lovely, almost certainly generic, view of what is probably central Wales. A shepherd and his sheep, a woman and child in the village, farmhouses, a stone bridge and some rugged hills - the essence of mid Wales. Bright, colourful and peaceful.

Frank Sherwin was a marine & landscape painter in oil & watercolour and a poster designer. He was born in Derby in 1896, the son of a painter.
He served in WW2 as a camouflage advisor around East Anglian airfields, and achieved a prolific output of art for the railways with posters for GWR, LMS, LNER & BR.
