Description - The two crests at the top are for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis. The railway lines to both Portland and Abbotsbury were closed in 1952, but both show steam trains on them in the poster. Chesil Beach is described as the Eighth Wonder of the World, and Weymouth Bay is very busy with ships, some rather historical. This is a re-issue of a pre-war poster which had been jointly produced by the GWR and SR. It was now issued by the Southern Region, but mentions that trains are available from both Paddington and Waterloo.
