Description - This is a wonderfully bright and colourful depiction of the picturesque harbour from the quayside at Whitby, with St Mary's Chruch and Whitby Abbey on the hill above the town to the right. Sightseers are walking around the quay, a fisherman is standing on a traditional red-sailed Yorkshire Coble on the water, and the old town rises up the steep banks from the harbour at the mouth of the River Esk.
