Description - The idyllic view shows a small island in the middle of the river, surrounded by forested hills along the River Wye near the England/Wales border. It may be a generic scene, or maybe Symonds Yat and an out of location Goodrich Castle above the trees. The poster was produced by the GWR, and issued jointly with the LMS, the two companies collaborating on advertising in this part of the country.
