Title - Your 1946 Holiday GWR – What The Press Says.
Artist – N/A.
Description – A clever informative poster attempting to encourage people to use GWR trains for their first post-war summer holidays, outside the main holiday months to help spread the load on the trains. The use of clippings from newspaper articles is imaginative. At the bottom is a Government notice being used to encourage families with children. The reference to staggering travel was one that was used many times over the years across the railway system.
